 అపర ఏకాదశి 

 వైశాఖ మాసం కృష్ణ పక్షంలో వచ్చే అపర ఏకాదశి మహాత్మ్యమును గురించి శ్రీకృష్ణ ధర్మరాజ సంవాదంలో బ్రహ్మండ పురాణంలో వర్ణించబడింది . ఈ ఏకాదశి మహాత్మ్యాన్ని వినేవాడు , చదివేవాడు సర్వపాప విముక్తుడౌతాడు . ఈ ఏకాదశి రోజున విష్ణువును త్రివిక్రముని ఆరాధించడం ద్వారా మనిషి సర్వమంగళమైన విష్ణుపదాన్ని పొందుతాడు . ఈ ఏకాదశి అనంతమైన పుణ్యాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తుంది . ఈ ఏకాదశి పాటించడం వల్ల కలిగే లాభాలు . మరియు ఎటువంటి పాపాలు నశించి పోతాయో ఇప్పుడు మనం తెలిసికుందాం . 

ఈ ఏకాదశి పాటించడం వలన కలుగు లాభాలు : > కార్తీకమాసంలో పుష్కర తీర్థంలో స్నానం చేసిన ఫలితం , పుష్యమాసంలో మకర సంక్రమణ సమయంలో ప్రయాగలో స్నానమాడిన ఫలితం , కాశీలో శివరాత్రి పాటించిన ఫలితం , గయలో విష్ణుపాదాల చెంత పిండ ప్రదానం చేసిన ఫలితం , గురువు సింహరాశిలో ప్రవేశించినప్పుడు గౌతమీ నదిలో స్నానమాడిన ఫలం , వీళ సమయంలో బదరీనాథ్ , కేదారినాథ్ క్షేత్ర దర్శన ఫలము , సూర్యగ్రహణ సమయంలో కురుక్షేత్రంలో స్నానమాడిన ఫలితం , ఏనుగులు , గుర్రములు , గోవులు , బంగారు , భూమి మొదలగు దానమిచ్చిన ఫలం కేవలం ఈ అపర ఏకదశిని పాటించడం వలన సులభంగా లభిస్తుంది . 

ఏకాదశి పాటించడం వల్ల ఎటువంటి పాపాలు నశిస్తాయి : బ్రాహ్మణ హత్య , గోహత్య , భ్రూణ హత్య , పరనింద , అక్రమ సంబంధాలు , అసత్యవాదము , తప్పుడు సాక్ష్యాలు ఇవ్వడం , మోసం చేసేవాడు , తప్పుడు జ్యోతిష్యం చెప్పేవాడు . దొంగ వైద్యం చేసేవాడు , డంబములు చెప్పుకోవడం , డబ్బు కొరకు వేదాలను పటించడం లేదా బోధించడం , స్వంత శాస్త్ర కల్పనము , గురుదూషణం వంటి సమస్త ఘోరమైన పాపాలైన ఈ ఏకాదశి పాటించడం వల్ల నశించిపోతాయి . తన ధర్మాన్ని త్యజించి యుద్ధరంగం నుంచి పారిపోయిన క్షత్రియుడు పతనం చెంది నరకంలో పడతాడు . అటువంటి వ్యక్తి కూడా ఈ ఏకాదశి పాటిస్తే స్వర్గానికి చేరుకుంటాడు . గమనిక . ఈ ఏకాదశి పాటించడం వల్ల పాపాలు నశించిపోయాయి అని మరలా పాపాలు చేస్తే ఖచ్చితంగా నరకానికి పోతారు .

 ఈ ఏకాదశి ఎటువంటిదంటే : 

పాపపు వృక్షాన్ని కూల్చివేసే పదునైన గొడ్డలి వంటిది . పాపమనే అడవులను దహింపజేసే తీవ్రమైన దావానలం వంటిది . పాపం నుండి పుట్టిన చీకటిని పటాపంచలు చేసే సూర్యుని వంటిది . పాపం అనే అడవిలోని జింకకు ఇది సింహం వంటిది . ఏకాదశి రోజున ముఖ్యంగా పాటించవలసినవి : క్రొత్త వాళ్లు కనీసం 108 సార్లు హరేకృష్ణ మహామంత్రం జపించండి . భగవద్గీత , భాగవత గ్రంధాలను అధ్యయనం చేయండి . మాంసభక్షణ చేయకండి . మద్యం , టీ , కాఫీలు సేవించకండి . బ్రహ్మచర్యం పాటించండి .

Apara Ekadashi (Vamana) The month of Vaishakha is described in the Brahmanda Purana in the Sri Krishna Dharmaraja dialogue about the Apara Ekadashi Mahatmyam which falls on the Krishna side.  The one who listens and reads this Ekadashi Mahatmya will be freed from all sins.  On this Ekadasi day by worshiping Vishnu Trivikrama man gets the all-encompassing word Vishnu.  This Ekadashi bestows infinite virtue.  The benefits of following this Ekadashi.  And now let us know what sins will be wiped out.  

Benefits of observing this Ekadashi:> Result of bathing in Pushkara Tirtha in the month of Karti, Result of bathing in Prayaga during the transition to Capricorn in the month of Pushya, Result of observing Shivaratri in Kashi, Result of bestowing the embryo on the feet of Vishnu in Gaya, Sathnath on the river of Gautama when Guru enters Simharashi,  The fruit of darshan, the result of bathing in Kurukshetra during a solar eclipse, the fruit donated by elephants, horses, cows, gold, land, etc., can be easily obtained simply by following this extra monotony.  Observance of Ekadashi eliminates any sins: Brahmin murder, cow slaughter, feticide, slander, illicit relations, untruthfulness, giving false testimony, cheating, false astrology.  The thief, the healer, the braggart, the one who reads or teaches the Vedas for money, his own science fiction, all the deadly sins like gurudushana will be destroyed by following this Ekadashi.  The Kshatriya who renounces his virtue and flees from the battlefield falls and falls into hell.  Such a person will also reach heaven if he observes this Ekadashi.  Note.  Observance of this Ekadasi means that the sins are gone and if one sins again, one will definitely go to hell.  This Ekadashi is nothing: it is like a sharp ax that tore down a tree of sin.  Sin is like a fierce fire that burns forests.  The darkness born of sin is like the sun shining brightly.  It is like a lion to a wild deer called Papam. 

 Important to follow on Ekadashi: Newcomers chant the Harekrishna Mahamantra at least 108 times.  Study the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavad Gita.  Do not eat meat.  Do not drink alcohol, tea or coffee.  Practice celibacy.  Harekrishna Harekrishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare!  Harerama Harerama Rama Rama Hare Hare !!
