అది వేయి సంవత్సరాల నాటి గుడి. అంతే కాదు భారత దేశంలోనే అతి పెద్ద శివలింగం ఉన్న గుడి. అదే తంజావూరులోని బృహదీశ్వరాలయం. అక్కడ కనిపించే ప్రతి అంశం ఓ మిస్టరీతో పాటు ఆశ్చర్యానికి గురిచేస్తుంది. ఎక్కడా సిమెంట్ అన్నమాటకు తావు లేకుండా ఉక్కు అన్నపదం లేకుండా కట్టిన ఈ గుడిని చూస్తే ఆనాటి టెక్నాలజీ ఇంత అద్భుతంగా ఉందా అనిపిస్తుంది. ఆశ్చర్యంతో పాటు ఆసక్తి రేపుతున్న ఆ గుడి గురించిన కొన్ని మిస్టరీ వింతలు.

13 అంతస్థులు కలిగిన ఏకైక పురాతన క్షేత్రం దాదాపు వేయి సంవత్సరాల క్రితం కట్టిన గుడి. 13 అంతస్థులు కలిగిన ఏకైక పురాతన క్షేత్రం. భారతదేశంలో అతి పెద్ద శివలింగం ఉన్న క్షేత్రం.దక్షిణ కాశీగా పేరొందిన ఈ గుడిలో ఎన్నో మిస్టరీ వింతలు దాగి ఉన్నాయి. దాదాపు ఈ శివలింగం 3.7 మీటర్ల ఎత్తు కలిగి ఉంటుంది

పెద్ద నంది విగ్రహాన్ని అక్కడ నిర్మించారు. ఈ విగ్రహం దాదాపు 20 టన్నులు కలిగి ఉంటుంది. ఇంకా ఆశ్చర్యకరం ఏంటంటే ఇది ఏకశిలా విగ్రహం. 2 మీటర్ల ఎత్తు ,2.6 మీటర్ల పొడవు, 2.5 మీటర్ల వెడల్పు కలిగి ఉంటుంది.

ఈ ఆలయానికి ఎటువంటి ఉక్కు గాని సిమెంట్ కాని వాడలేదు. పూర్తిగా గ్రానైట్ రాయితో కట్టబడింది. 13 అంతస్థులు గ్రానెట్ రాయితోనే కట్టారు.

80 టన్నుల ఏకశిలతో చేసిన గోపుర కలశం ఈ గుడికే హైలెట్. 13 అంతస్థుల పైన ఎటువంటి వాలు లేకుండా నిలబడటమనేది ఇప్పటికీ అందర్నీ ఆశ్చర్యంలో ముంచెత్తుతోంది.

ఇక మిట్ట మధ్యాహ్న సమయంలో ఆ గోపురం నీడ ఎక్కడా పడదు. గుడి నీడ కనపడినా గోపురం నీడ మాత్రం చూడలేము. 80 టన్నుల బరువున్న ఆ కలశాన్ని అక్కడికీ తీసుకెళ్లటమనేది ఆనాటి రాజుల నైపుణ్యానికి ప్రతీక.

ఈ ఆలయ ప్రాంగణం దాదాపు పర్లాంగు దూరం ఉంటుంది.అంటే చాలా సువిశాలంగా ఉంటుంది. మనం మాట్లాడుకునే శబ్దాలు మళ్లీ ప్రతిధ్వనించవు. అంతటి శబ్ద పరిజ్ఙానంతో ఈ గుడిని కట్టారు.

ఇక ఆలయం లోపల అనేక సొరంగ మార్గాలున్నాయి. ఇవి కొన్ని తంజావూరులో ఉన్న కొన్ని ఆలయాలకు దారితీస్తే కొన్ని మాత్రం మరణానికి దారి తీసే గోతులు కలిగి ఉన్నాయని అన్ని దారులు మూసేశారు.

అయితే ఇప్పటికీ టెక్నాలజీకి అంతుపట్టని విషయం ఏంటంటే. ఈ గుడికి చుట్టూ ఉన్న రాతి తోరణాలలో ఆరు మి. మి కన్నా తక్కువ సైజులో వంపుతో కూడిన రంధ్రాలు కనిపించడం. అవి అలా ఎందుకు పెట్టారు ఇప్పటికీ మిస్టరీనే.

ఈ ఆలయం ప్రపంచ వారసత్వ జాబితాలో చేరింది. వేయి సంవత్సరాల గుడులు దాదాపు పాడుబడిన స్థితిలో ఉంటాయి. అయితే గుడి మాత్రం అత్యధ్భుతంగా కొత్తగా నిర్మించినట్లు ఇప్పటికీ కనిపిస్తుంది.

That was a thousand years old temple. Not only that, the temple with the largest Shiva Linga in India. That is the Brihadeeswaram temple in Tanjavur. Everything that appears there is a mystery along with a surprise. If you see this temple which was built without cement and steel and food, you will feel that the technology of those days is so amazing. Some mysterious wonders about that temple which is also surprisingly interesting.

The only ancient place with 13 stories is the temple built almost thousand years ago. The only ancient place with 13 floors. The place where India has the largest Shiva Linga. There are many mysterious wonders hidden in this temple which is named as South Kashi. This Shivalinga is almost 3.7 meters high

Big Nandi statue was built there. This statue contains almost 20 tons. Still surprising is that it is a monotonous statue. 2 meters high, 2.6 meters long, 2.5 meters wide.

No steel or cement is used for this temple. Completely built with granite stone. 13 floors built with granite stone.

Gopura Kalasam made with 80 tonnes of Ekasi is the highlight of this temple. Standing on 13 floors with no slope still amazes everyone.

From now on, in the afternoon, the shadow of that tower will not fall anywhere. Even if we see the shadow of the temple, we cannot see the shadow of the tower. It is a symbol of the skill of the kings of those days to take that black weighing 80 tons.

This temple has joined the world heritage list. Thousand-year-old temples are almost in a damaged state. But the temple still looks like it's most newly built.
